The two ton beast formed a remarkable bond with Anne Whittall when she took him into her home in Zimbabwe as a baby.
The docile creature, affectionately known as Jimmy, was orphaned when his mother was cruelly shot by poachers in South Africa in 2007.
Glad he has a happy home. Wonder what they’ll do when he’s grown and his hormones kick in??

God, I hope so–they are never safe.
So many rhinos have been been killed lately. This ones lucky they came along.
Since he is two ton and 5 or 6 years old, I would say he is grown and his hormones are “kicked in”. Most mammals mature sexually in the two-four year window even though they are very young. People drink the fear-mongering kool-aid and think all animals are vicious when they are mostly just appropriately fearful of capricious killing obsessed humans.
