Surprise, Surprise, Humans Used to Massacre Each Other as Hunter-gatherers

Question:

How long have humans been laying waste to one another?

Choose the most likely answer:

500 years.

10,000 years.

100,000 years.

Since the industrial revolution.

Since the agricultural revolution.

Since the dawn of Man.

No one seems to know for sure, but a safe bet is: ever since our first narcissistic primate ancestors climbed down from the trees and started preying on other animals.

But lately, revisionist history would have us believe that human on human conflict started with the agricultural revolution 4 to 6 thousand years ago.

A new study from Kenya reveals that humans from even as far back as 10,000 years ago were killing one another in what would today be considered mass murder.

  1. Of course we have. While another blog is fretting yet again about how wolves historically (or hysterically?) have killed humans in Russia and elsewhere, they fail to realize (or maybe think we’re an exceptional ok) that if these poor humans disagreed ideologically with us we’d probably bomb the crap out of them. 😦

  2. Of Course, this is no surprise to some of us, is it? We humans make such a noise about an alleged grizzly, black bear attack on a stupid human, and the ranchers whine about alleged coyote or wolf attacks on livestock, but little is ever mentioned just how many wild animals are suffering and dying every day in the name of hunting, “game management & control” trafficking for animal parts, entertainment, trapping: it amounts to billions each year.
Our species is despicable, & we have set in motion a grinding, relentless species holocaust of unbelievable proportions, which will leave this planet a desolate place. If there are human survivors (for awhile at least) they will not even care, or notice, as they will be very busy fighting and eating each other.
